My first guess would be a bad ground that is shared by the indicators and either marker, rear or head lights. If you have a known bad marker light, that is a good place to start. Another possibility is a short between the indicator and marker circuits, maybe in the socket of a dual filament bulb or in the wiring harness, but I would start by inspecting the ground connections.

| thanks for the info...changed the bad marker and condition still exists. Found the reverse bulbs out due to them being rusted to the sockets! I'll try splicing new ones in and see if that may be the cause. Doesn't affect any of the lighting operation but still annoying! |

Similar issues with my '87 but just the left turn signal for me. I've checked all my sockets and grounds and found nothing wrong. Only illuminates steadily in the dash when the lights are on too....so maybe something between the dash switch or column is jacked up? Also it doesn't affect any sort of operation, just the odd illumination. _________________ 2003 TJ Sport |
