|
|
About 2 years ago, I noticed that my left turn signal started coming on when I press on the brake pedel. It doesn't come on all the time...only after maybe 20 minutes of driving. It continues to light up for maybe another 30 minutes, then stops. I've replaced the turn signal generator under the dash next to the steering wheel, traced out what wiring I could and wiggled it, I've removed all the bulbs and connections to the lights, cleaned them and then put diletric grease on everything. The only other thing I coudl think of was an old trailer wiring harness that was on it. This harness used plugs, and nothing was spliced. I removed the harness anyway and still have the problem.
It doesn't really interfere with the operation of the turn signal, but it's annoying knowing that there's something wrong with my Jeep...
It's a 1999 TJ Sport.
Thanks for the help! |

Hi,
Pull the tail light off and check the earth. Most likely this is the cause. Seems to be in most vehicles with tail light 'issues'.
