First off let me say this looks like a good forum,i have a 95 wrangler with a few mods and will be visiting here often.

My question is...
My brother up in Md just recently bought a 1988 wrangler and looking to restore it back to stock ,was the paint a clearcoat or a single stage paint factory?
I live 12 hours from him so no i can do a physical check..lol

When did jeep start using clearcoat paints on them?..i noticed some people saying the 1988 cherokee was a clearcoat but the wranglers were not??..doesnt make sense to me Rolling Eyes
