|
|
I started trying to install a Skyjacker t-case drop yesterday. Got 5 of the 6 bolts out of the t-case skid plate, and the last bolt broke on me. Now the nut up inside the frame is just spinning with the bolt. How the heck am I supposed to get it out?? |

Support the drivetrain using a jack.
Cut the bolt head off.
Drop the skid.
Push the bolt and attached nut up into the frame rail.
Weld the appropriate sized nut to a large fender washer creating a flanged nut.
Skid the flange nut, nut side up, into the hole.
Weld the flange (the washer) to the frame rail.
When you put the bolt back in, coat them with antiseize. _________________ 04 Unlimited |
