|
|
Hello,
I have a 1997 Cherokee Country 4.0, with factory installed Tow package and "Country Package 26H" (whatever this means?).
My question: does anyone know if this includes the limited slip rear differential? I do have the original invoice, and it does not say so, but I though it might be part of the tow package. I need to know, because I want to change the differential oil, and I wonder whether or not to add the limited slip additive.
Thank you in advance for the help!

My 97 has the Tow Package but no Limited slip.
Jack both back wheels off the ground at the same time.
With engine Off, turn one wheel and see if the other side turns the same way, if so you have Limited Slip, if they rotate in opisite directions,
you don't. |

| Does your model have the Selec-Trak gearbox??? if so then you should use the additive. Also the diff oil to use is different to the normal spec if the tow pack is fitted you need to use 75W-140 in the back axle and the ususal 75W-90 in the front. |
