I do not have any pics of it flexing since I was driving when most of those were taken, but a short run down of the mods....
High pinion 35 spline 9 inch curry rear axle with disc brakes.
High pinion dana 44 front axle out of a 66 ford 3/4 ton truck, cut down to width.
Warn axle shafts and CTMS in the front
4.56 gears, ARB front, Detroit rear,
Cage and tube front end built by FabWright in Amarillo Texas.
Custom tank also built by FabWright,
6 Point cage with 3/16th aluminum on top.
5 point harnesses
Custom Dash my buddy and I made, all auto meter gauges.
Short shaft kit on the 231,
Custom long arm suspension, also by FabWright, when we did the suspension we converted it over to coil springs,
The lift is around 7 inchs, the wheel base is now 104, I went back 7 inchs in the rear and 3 in the front,
Full Hydro stearing from PSC
Flat belly skid plate, Also from FabWright.
This had been a on going project for me since I bought the jeep in Florida back in 97..... I have broke and rebuilt and replaced about every part known to jeep at one time or another, I am sure I have forgotten some of the mods I have done but if you have any questions feel free to ask..

Looks great - do you have any future plans for it? Any engine/drivetrain mods? _________________ Nothing to see here. |

Keep us posted on what you think of the Stak and how the install goes. I'm very interested in it. _________________ Nothing to see here. |

It still has the I6 in it. I find the 6 has plenty of power to turn the 38.5's and will smoke the tires on the rocks if the need is there.
I have never been to Barnwell Mountain, I mostly wheel in Texas and Logan New Mexico. I am going to start doing some more trips next year..
This was the first trip out in it since November I rolled it end over end on a trail and had to replace the whole front end and 3 of the cage bars. At that time I put 3/16th aluminum on the top of the cage to keep the sun off the driver and passenger.
I will keep you posted on the STAK install and even foward you some pics on the progress and the actual install. I am looking foward to having that in the jeep.
I am going to add a couple more pics of the rear links and the dash I uploaded this morning. |
