Lassen National Forest Seeks Summer and Winter
OHV Grant Comments
Susanville, CA (March 15,
2005) - The Lassen National Forest is currently developing
its draft 2006 Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) grant applications that will
be submitted to the State of California by June 3, 2005. The public is
invited to attend one of two meetings to discuss any changes or
improvements to the Forest’s program and to assist with the development
of the project grant applications. In addition, Forest Service staff
will update the public on the Lassen’s OHV route designation process.
The meetings will be held on Monday, April 18th, at the City Council
Chamber, 421 Main Street, Chico, CA and on Tuesday, April 19th, at the
Lassen National Forest Headquarters Office, 2550 Riverside Drive,
Susanville, CA. Both meetings will start at 6:00 p.m. The update on OHV
route designation will be presented first, followed by a discussion of
2006 grant submittals.
Grant applications will be prepared for OHV law enforcement, summer OHV
operations and maintenance, conservation activities, equipment
purchase, planning, and other grant categories.
